I was just thinking about the Pistons -- I'd love to see Goat Milk ask Jordan if he thought he "had it easy" vs. the Bad Boys. Goat makes it sound like Jordan played in the 1940's.

It's not just about tv ratings Goat. The league needs a better product across the board. They can get by with 5-10 solid teams because they can market those teams with their few national tv nights.

Dumars was one of the greatest perimeter defenders of his era. All 1st team defense numerous years. Chuck Daily wrote a book called the Jordan rules where Dumars's defense was the center of that.

Those were pretty much the only guys that made it hard for Jordan, while there are dozens today that make it hard for Kobe Lebron and Wade.

The competitiveness of the league today vs. back then isn't even up for debate. Just look at the records of the teams that made the playoffs in the Western conference these past few years compared to back then. It isn't even close...........

I'll let you get back to the other discussion of what the league needs to fix.

Are u fukkin nuts? I practically make a living off this and MLB with all the games they play. More games give you more chances you have to find good spots. Unlike football which is the worst sport to try and make living off of with its short schedule and all the games crammed into one day.

There's always going to be shit teams. There was teams winning 15 games during the 60s 80s and today. That's not going to change. But once you sepearate from those shit teams, everyone is actually VERY good.

cool. I said west not east and when 2 of the 3 best players in the world exist on 1 team and still lose in the championship thats when you know the competition is at an all time high.

the old timers here like pavyracer thought an "old-fashioned" team like the bulls with heart , team defense and grit, would beat the miami heat, but in fact, they got smoked, couldn't win more than 1 game and then lost 4 straight. There is too much offensive talent in the NBA today. i.e the Dallas Mavericks.

Better offense beats better defense in the NBA every time. When Boston beat LA the first time, they shut down Kobe and Gasol. When they lost the second time, they were dominated on the offensive glass.

"Dallas is the better offensive team"

Because Detroit's defense WAS better than any offense they played against. LA's offense was better than Phoenix D. It works both ways. PHX offense was never as good as the Laker's O. Offensive rebounds are part of offense. Too many big guys in the paint and Kobe.

I found the NBA unwatchable even with money on games, but I do miss betting on it. I had success betting the NBA especially earlier in the seasons..remember my model, goatmilk???
