    Lottery Value Question
So the odds of winning the California State Lottery Jackpot are 1 in 41,416,353.

Considering they take 50% in taxes, I'll use the nice round $83,000,000.

If the jackpot gets to $83,000,000, you are now getting bet 1 to win 41.5 million when your actual odds are 41.4 million to 1.

    Is there value here?

    Do you pound it?

Actually, if you buy enough combos, you could always be on the "positive" side...

Even at the minimum $7,000,000, a win would be worth $3.5 million...

Buy 12 tickets and you now have a 3.45 mil to 1 shot to win 3.5 mil!

      Value?

        No, right? if the tickets are $1 ea, that's $12 for 3.45 m : 1 to win $3.5m?

Cool that there's a minimum though, didn't realize lotteries did that...

But when dealing with millions does a few extra bucks matter? Haha
