Actually, I think the Jets would do a fair job protecting him (offensive line wise). They did pick up Alan Faneca from the Steelers, although the Bucs may ensure his durability some more. Jeff Garcia isn't the most mobile dude, especially at his age either, but I don't seem to remember him facedown much last year.

No doubt. One person's garbage is another person's treasure. I've just lost all respect for the guy, I would hate to see him down here QB'ing the Bucs. That would be the last straw for me.


Crazy - Buc OL is pretty good, they've certainly put a lot of emphasis up there of late. Think they will start two 1st round picks, two 2nd rounders, and the highest paid center (Faine) in the NFL. They're young but talented. As always the only thing holding them back is coaching, or lack thereof.

I was close to putting the Steelers in the first group of teams I listed that I didn't think the Jets were nearly as good as. I didn't because I don't think the Steelers are nearly as good as those teams (Pats, Colts, Chargers, and Jags). The Steelers got exposed, if you will, in their two games with the Jags last year. I think if you're looking for a team who might take a step back, it may be the Steelers. Sorry.

Garcia (at this stage of career) is the exact same player as Favre, but with less of a bandwagon and drawing power to him ticket wise. I'd venture to guess any organizations desire for Favre has to factor in revenue aside just from what he can contribute on the field for the next two years.

Since I don' think even the most wildly optimistic Jets fan sees them dethrowing the Pats this year, I think the Jets only chance at the playoffs is a wild card. Since the Colts and Jags are in the same division and I don't the Jets are as good as the Jags, I've given the Jags one of the two wild card slots.

Now the Jets are down to fighting for the last remaining wild card slot. You're going to be in that fight with the Bills from your own division, the Titans from the South, and the Steelers/Browns loser in the North.

Could it happen? Yes. Do I think it's likely that the Jets will beat out the Bills, Titans, and Steelers/Browns loser for the second wild card slot? No. I do not.

Well I will concede that Colts and Pats are very impressive and I have great respect for what the Jags have been able to do and disdain for the fact that we let them do it, Chargers are good but not GREAT, I think Pittsburgh makes a stride forward this year with our great draft thats just my opinion, I think we will be able to contend with all these teams this year

From what I saw by him last and in 06 when he turned it around for the Eagles and got them to the playoffs... That was a great adventure...
I think he's a good QB, better than Favre....
And with Garcia you avoid all this problems that you get with Favre...
