I mean, just two high scoring innings can dead this easily....

One below average offense and one horrible one versus two of the best pitchers in baseball. Webb is an extreme ground ball pitcher and SF hits ground balls at a 4% higher clip than league average. The total is so low for a reason.

About 15 years ago, totals were ROUTINELY 7 or lower. The Braves totals at home with their top 3 starters would be 5.5 or I have even seen 5 listed as a total before. You know what, you still bet them under because back then, the Braves would win or lose games like 2-1 or 2-0

Just a little trend to think about here....
The SF Giants are UNDEFEATED this year when Lincecum pitches AFTER coming off a loss for a decision...look it up to verify
He lost his last outing vs MIL

There is the same total as last night, but a definite step up in pitching from Sanchez to Lincecum...If Lincecum gets caught up throwing too many pitches and that still happens quite often when he gets into the strike out mode, you are left with the Giants bullpen which is full of castoffs and flunkies that will make 6.5 seem like it should be an inning total.

If the starting pitchers will pitch whole game, the Under will be tempting but this total can be surpassed easily when the game gets to the bullpen.

Lincecum has allowed at least 4 earned runs in 2 out of his last 3 starts.

bet on sf and throw your cash away
doesnt matter how good you think lincecum is, he isnt better than webb yet
and the sf offense does not exist
sf has no bullpen either
webb dominates sf also
there is no reason to bet sf other than you think lincecum will throw a no hitter

This isn't like last night's with Haren & Sanchez. That 6.5 total was too good to be true for an OVER, but I took it anyway and it was an easy winner. Webb & Lincecum could easily end up 2-1, 3-2. This is a solid NO PLAY on the total.
