The USA team actually practices now. There could be a close game or two. The Olympic rules bother the NBA players who are used to taking three steps and dragging their pivot foot not to mention the hand checks. But this group is so much better that I cant see them losing straight up.

US won't win the gold. Black athletes -in the US- don't have the right mentality for team sports. Way too much self-admiration. Jordan and Magic were exceptions to the rule. In the NBA this ridiculous degree of self-absorption goes largely unnoticed, because the league is entirely marketed around superstars.

For the most part black athletes in this country are individualists. Great at track. Great at boxing. Think Ali would have done well in a team sport? Team sport is about sacrificing for each other; not at an ok-level, but at a top level. How many white or Hispanic prima donnas do you know in the NFL compared to black ones? How many LT's are there for every Chad Johnson and TO? I'm not judging. Just observing the differences in nature. Ocho Cinco and TO, or Randy Moss for that matter, are great when everything goes well, but nowhere to be found when things get ugly in the trenches. They've risen from the ghetto. Why the hell should they go back to doing the dirty work? That's a five carat diamond earring, buddy... US won't win gold because the whole is always greater than the sum of the individual parts.
