Friday night Del Mar horse racing anybody?
I don't know if any of you are playing the horses at Del Mar later today, but if you are you might want to take a look at the feature race.

Del Mar race #7: Becrux(#8) Makes second start off over a one hundred-eighty(180) day layoff for trainer Neil Drysdale who wins 33% of his races when using this angle with an ROI of $3.39 for every $2.00 invested. LOVES racing on Del Mar's grass course with 3 wins and 1 second in only 5 career starts(including a win in this same race last year) and will be hard to deny the winners circle on Friday night at a small price. BEST BET! Bet this horse WIN and PLACE. A $30 win bettor plays $15 WP. Morning line is 7 to 2. TURF ONLY! Post time is 7:00pm pacific time.

See you in the winners circle!!

but horse racing is like betting on a dart throwing contest

I will say Bejerano is the best jockey in the world though

Bejarano is riding the #2 horse.

Bejarano is riding the #2 horse who is trained by the same guy as my pick.

Bejarano has eighteen(18) first or second places this meet at Del Mar in only thirty-two(32) races. That's pretty strong.

I agree Becrux has a good chance in this race. However for being an ungraded race, I feel it came up pretty tough. There are a few that have a very good chance in here and that have won graded races before.

Also there is a chance Becrux gets bet down considering he won this race last year. I can see people betting him down off that angle.

I have not made my pick in the race as most of my bets are based on the odds. I bet when they about ready to get in the gate.

        Good luck Meatman

Really tough race to cap, Becrux, Lang Field, Porto Santo all have great shots I think. My main play in the race will be Awesome Gem.

Becrux has a bad habit of washing out before his races. If he's dry in the post parade his chances move up, imho. Thats a tough race. #1, #6, #10, all have big shots.

                Awesome Gem(#10)???????????????????????

The problem with Awesome Gem(#10) is he has never won a race on the turf. All four(4) of his career wins have come on the main track.

Here is another pick I have for race #5 which starts in about a half hour.

Del Mar race #5: Tammy's Luck(#3) Makes second career start under the guidance of trainer Richard Matlow who wins 25% of his races when using this handicapping angle with an ROI of $3.75 for every $2.00 invested. BEST BET! Bet this horse across the board WIN, PLACE and SHOW. A $30 win bettor plays $10 WPS. Morning line is 7 to 2. Post time is 6:00pm pacific time.

They did show the photo of the finish line for about 30 seconds on TVG. It was as close as you could get to being a dead heat.
