Ryan Howard clearly not making all the $ because of his intelligence! 3-0 and he can't hit anything and that dumb bastard swings! Perhaps he doesn't understand that the concept of this game is to get on base and score! I am amazed at how many idiots swing at 3-0 and 3-1 ball 4's! this has got to be shaping up as one of the biggest upsets in baseball history. 102 wins. all the pitching money could buy. and u have managed 3 hits against an aging pitcher past his prime who was pretty hittable earlier in the series? what is it about the cardinals that they light it up in the playoffs? larussa really IS a genius. poor halladay. leaves a no playoff team and goes to a team that chokes for him in playoffs. ouch. as a braves fan, must say im enjoyin the hell out of this! and after that choke.... deserve some laughter.

Is this really surprising though? Philly has been overrated all year long! Lee hasn't been what everyone expected. Ryan Howard has been total garbage and has done nothing to prove he is worth all the $. The Phillies have struggled to put up runs in a ton of games. Its not like the Mets, Nationals, or Marlins even came close to giving Philly a run for there $. The NL East is like the NFC West of baseball.

Pitching hasn't been the Phillies problem...Halladay has had a great year! The Phillies can't buy a hit in crucial situations, end of story! You can pitch lights out all you want but if you don't score you lose, just like this 1-0 game.

Are people really even discussing Halliday/Lee starting Game 4/5....For the 10th time, starting pitching has not been there issue, its that they can't get a hit from there lineup to save there lives when they need it...thats been the difference in this series!

Didnt have any straight bets on Philly series, had a parlay that they were the last part of. Hedged out few innings ago at -250 and also did another parlay on top of that with STL and some other football games. With such high juice if Philly came back and won, I'd be down a very small amount but well worth it with the way Philly is at the plate tonight. I don't see them coming back in the bottom of the 9th and if they did I'll take a loss of a few $'s literary as opposed to sitting back and watching my $ evaporate on the Phillies to win the series. Howard will likely be the final batter of the game and I'd be shocked if he does anything other than pull an A-Rod!
