    let him.. he aint worth shit..hope he tests the market and realizes no one wants him for big money...overrrated..if there ever was collusion in baseball this would be the time for it..if im an owner sittin at the table with a bunch of other hundred millionaires im gonna be like are we seriously gonna pay this chimp?

          I doubt he gets very close to his average annual salary that he has right now... but he can get a lot more total money. This is his last chance for another long term contract.. he will be 36 when his contract with yankees runs out, if he doesnt opt out.

          My guess is he works out a new deal with NY for a new 6 or 7 year contract

            Yanks should let him leave or if they keep him they need to surround him with better starters. Too much pressure for one guy to be the saviour every year.

                The thing is pitchers don't really need to be athletic....plus the guy doesn't get injured...he has a shot at 300 wins.

                  Yeah, the guy doesn't need to be in soccer shape. CC will opt out, and the Yankees will over pay to keep him.
