    Question about Playing in Vegas
    Guys,

I got a question for you.

I have been playing baseball with BODOG for 2 years and a nice winner not huge but I am up. Not other sports however LOL. I am moving to Vegas on business in Jan and want to start betting in the Casino instead of online.

I have cashed out a huge settlement from my current employer and will have a roll of around 60k. I wanted to bet as small as 200 per game and up to 15k a game if I need to. I do not want to have any problems, what due you guys suggest.

I have already decided if it makes a difference to try and split anything that goes over 10k total bet + win . I also wonder of I need to split my bets between not just different casinos but different company's Wynn, Harras etc?

Am I over exaggerating here or what? How hard is Vegas on players that win, especially if I keep my tickets under 10k. I expect to only have to bet more than 10 once or twice a month?

Guys any help would be great?

Please also anybody who lives at that some advice would be great.

    Matt

with 60k i say you should bet 5k per game only when you feel you have a huge edge. also stick to 1 bet a day.

You shouldn't really have any problems laying those numbers at most casinos in Vegas. There really isn't a need to split the tickets for NFL. Most casinos have limits from $10k-$25k. The only point would be to avoid tax forms (you need a W2G for wagers over 10k). Most of the casinos require a player's card for wagers over 1k, however. So tax information is tracked regardless. Vegas isn't too hard on winners. Most books are pretty lenient compared to their online counterparts. Not only do they want to afford you the chance to lose it back to them but they've been in the game long enough to properly balance their books in most cases.

Baseball is another story, however. The limits are smaller. So once baseball season rolls around, you'll either need to split tickets between casinos, hire runners, or possibly find a book that will arrange higher limits for you.

Regardless of what else you do, you need to play at Matchbook and Pinnacle. You might also want 5dimes and betJamaica.

if you have a 60k bankroll, you should NEVER be betting 15k - perhaps 3k on your strongest bet of the year.

Let me clarify one thing about this post.

#1) as you can see by me betting BODOG I was a real amateur then.
#2) Never count your chickens before they hatch. (Just because an attorney tells you that you have a settlement, its not always true)
#3) I was obviously a rookie I was still chasing and not betting straight.

I have learned so much since my early posts. These posts were made after my great run in Vegas and my initial research into the MLB system that I have been working on. Like I said in another post I got real excited and wanted to run off right away. Thank god I didnt fall into the lawsuit money, or I would have been broke in Vegas chasing my ass.

Guys listen I would not be wasting your time with these threads if I was not serious. If I was bullshitting you guys I would say that I had a 200k roll and never lost.

I know what I am planning on doing is a risk.
I am scared... Scared to fuking death. Don't think different.
I am scared of Fail, loosing my job, disappointing my family.

I also trust my research and trust my wife to be strong next to me.

                    Thanks,

                    Matt

LV, I like the shot your taking. I would say this when you get to Vegas don't start betting big. Your gonna wanna feel out the surroundings and get into a comfort level. There is a huge difference betting online then betting in a casino. When your betting online your simply just typing in your bet amount. In the casino your actually handing over the physical cash to a window which can change your whole psyche. I would really take it easy your first couple days and probably bet online and watch the games at the book. Also if your gonna be betting big money you should try and develop some relationships with the sharps/locals down there. When I was there for my 3 month stint I had many informed people I knew where I was getting solid info on certain games. Take it easy man, but enjoy your time. Your next couple months will be the biggest ride of your life. Buckle up.
