that was under the assumption that the bears defense would be as good as they were last year and in week 1

they've already given up 27 points 3 times this year after giving up more than 27 just once or twice all of last year. This one will get ugly unless the bears defense starts dominating again

so what you did is see the bears defense playing well and you bet on them, now you see the bears defense not playing well and you are betting against them

the problem is that even if the bears defense plays a pretty good game, I don't know if they have a chance of winning this game

You're looking at a game with the worst offensive line in football playing arguably the best defensive line. The bears won't score more than 10 - 20 points in this game and holding Detroit below 20 points in their own building seems to be a nearly impossible task

Nice to see a Bear fan at least be objective about his team. The Bears back end on defense really misses their safety Harris, Major Wright his replacement sucks.

Not only is the Bears defense not as good, but when was the last time Jay Cutler played well on a Monday night game on the road or for that matter a BIG game on the road?

he played pretty good at dallas last year but that's the last game I can really remember that Jay beat a decent opponent on the road

The Bears were the only team in the division to beat the Lions twice last year. The first one they did have Stafford.. Cutler was 2-0 on Monday Night last year. Once against the Packers once against the Vikings (both Divisional games). They may not win, but it's a divisional game and I see it being pretty close

this year the refs have decided a ton of games, i think it's worse than it's ever been. it could happen again.. i mean look at Colts vs Bucs. Bucs didn't cover strictly because the refs called like 18 penalties on them..
