I want to open a nightclub guys. It is in a small city with around 70k population. Doing a research now. How much money I need to open it, what kind of licenses, etc.

To open a nightclub in a place with a population of 70k people is not a bright idea. A moderate club will set you back at least 2 mil to open it up right. And that is a conservative estimate. Doubt you and your mom can blow enough guys to get that kind of capital.

You know...there is a "club" about 20 minutes west of where I live. They just happened to be open to 3-330 in the morning, while all the bars in the surrounding 30 mile radius are only open til 1-130.

That "club" is in a population of about 12,000 people. That club is packed every single Friday/Saturday night. Sure there may be a few other bars open til 2, but non have a DJ and dance floor like this place.

So depending on the situation and what's around the town, it could work.

But I agree with you on the comment to TR88, we all know he doesn't have the brains/cash to open a club.

I sports bar/tavern would be fun to open. If i had the investment and could research the right market, but I will see where my Masters in Accounting and my CPA license takes me first. Maybe I can just be the Managerial accountant for a sports bar, sports book/casino.

you'd think it's a no brainer but it's amazing how many sports bars don't have good food....problem with most is that they try to get creative with the menu
