That's how we make apple pie shots around here.

Bottle of that, and a 2 gallon of applecider with cinnamon sticks. Boil it with some sugar and cinnamon...throw it out in the snow.

There is nothing enjoyable about shooting shine with no chaser. Anyone who would do it hasn't done it before, or they must live under an overpass. That shit will send you to the moon in a hurry.

At a concert one time...drank beers on the way there. One of my buddies brought a flask of that straight. He didn't puke once....But I'll say this, found him wandering the parking lot after the concert and me and him had to hitch a ride home because our rides left. To this day, I don't know how he drank a flask of that straight. He has said that he hasn't drank it since that night.

For some reason my parents have a few bottles of it. Maybe they take shots of it and fukk like JJ/Shari do.

I blacked out drinking Absinthe one night. They put the sugar on the spoon and light it like a crack pipe to drink absinthe. I guess it caramelizes the wormwood or something? That shit is another black out cocktail up there with Grain liquor. Absinthe is much easier to shoot without a chaser though.

I had a friend from South Carolina send me 2 1/2 gallon jugs of shine in the mail once. I thought he lost his mind sending that shit in the mail. I took a couple shots with some friends once and gave it away. I heard about 8 people after me did the same thing. One was supposed to be peach and the other one grape. They tasted the same to me. Nasty as hell.

BTW they dont make everclear that strong anymore. Some sort of regulation made everclear's alcohol % get lowered. I guess if they didnt it wouldnt be allowed to be sold in stores anymore

I like the hundy proof vodka myself.
Pint gets you 9 shots, lasts about 3 to 4 hours, next morning you get up pretty clean, maybe a few cobwebs that a cup of coffee eliminates.
I just twisted the cap off the bottle now, it'll be done by 10:30 or so, be sleeping by 11:30, I can get up at 7am pretty cleanly.

Can't do it every night, but twice a week the wife is fine with, I don't get sloppy, I don't get belligerent, I don't miss work.

Back in the day when I lived at home I had a bottle of Everclear in the liquor cabinet. I used to make mixed drinks out of it at tailgating parties. Anyway, I saw the bottle empty in the trash one day and I asked my mom what happened to it. She told me to ask my dad what happened to it. I asked him what he did with it. He told me in chinese that he "used it". I asked him what you mean used it? Cook with it? He said he drank it. I asked what he mixed it with he told me nothing I just drank it. He drank that shit like it was scotch! There was still a good 2-3 inches left in the 5th bottle before he polished it off. He then tells me it was "spicy" going down(in chinese). And he had a headache in the mourning. Then told my father that he was a straight up gangster. I still can't believe the shit.

Grain alcohol is nothing to mess around with. Pretty hard core shit that is illegal in some areas. Many years ago, in a distant galaxy, I use to know people that would make punch with it. Actually, they would soak various kinds of fruit overnight in a bottle's worth of liquor and the next day make a large bowl of punch adding the fruit. A few pieces of the fruit would really hit home quickly while drinking the punch. I can't imagine going any faster than that with such a dangerous tool.

But after you boil it all, for some reason you're supposed to put it out in the cold and let it cool for 20 minutes, then I'm not sure if you reboil it again and put back out in the cold.

A few shots of it was always a great way to start off the night.

I believe that's the recipe we used...Sounds about correct. Gotta have a big pot though to hold all that liquid. They always have it at the bars as shots around here, but I don't believe it's the same stuff as this stuff tastes much much stronger. But it is a great drink for the winter, especially warmed up.
