Don't be ridiculous. If anything being Mormon helps the guy. He wins 90% of Mormon votes, which represent 5%+ of Republican primary voters. Having a built-in 5% is huge in a vote where 30% is normally a winning number. Of the other 95% of primary voters, 90% don't care, and the 5% we do are fragmented many different ways.

The reason Romney doesn't "have it in the bag" is that he is a slimy politician that few people really like (but many people are willing to accept). The reason he is leading is because everyone else only appeals to a small group of core supporters.

Willard "Mittens" Romney is 'the guy' MOST Republicans I know would've vote for last go-around. What I'm most interested in is the current SBR 'white power f everyone but white hetero' peoples have to say. I'd like to find out MORE what SBR has to say about Herman Cain.

Dang, with all the anti-black conjecture on here, I figure Willard Mittens or the former democrat Rick Perry coasts to solve it all.
If I were handicapping it, I'd take Perry. I assume his "NWORD"head hunting lodge would seal the deal.
Again, these forums are the most 'shit kicking I f'd my sister and or cousin' RON PAUL mental morons anyone can face. I love me some Ron Paul, but he's sold out his libertarianism to state control over EVERYONE, in a weak attempt to be relevant.

I'll take Perry and his odds. Lots of people love low income jobs on here, because we're all MILLIONAIRES on SBR. Sigh.

        Perry is dead

He's very pro business to a fault and would have the borders completely open to any beaner to come here and work cheap. If you look into his past policies, he's pro illegal immigration to a fault. He's lost a monster chunk of support he could have gotten.

More than one in five Americans, 22%, say they would not vote for their party's nominee for president in 2012 if that person happens to be a Mormon, a figure largely unchanged since 1967. This includes 18% of Republicans and 19% of independents, as well as 27% of Democrats.

22% would not vote for their party's nominee if he/she were Mormon. You don't find that statistically significant?

Throw in the fact that he won't win 90% of the Mormon votes with another Mormon, Jon Huntsman, running.

His religion is certainly hurting, not helping him.

I imagine a certain percentage said no specifically because they were thinking of Romney. Even so, the number who said no is higher than I would have imagined. Still, any "anti-Moron" vote is probably pretty soft (just like many "anti-black" voters still went for Obama) and even if it isn't it would be fragmented many ways. As such, I don't see it hurting him very much if at all.

That said, let's get one thing clear: all indications are that Romney is Mormon in name only (just like most people are X religion in name only).

It would be awesome to see lifetime bullshitters like Romney (full of shit and has his health care program dragging him down) and this dope from Texas (has lost any chance of getting the right wings vote) get rolled.

We gotta lose this half breed that's in office now.

A fad? Haha, I recall everyone saying the same thing about that hipster in office now. It was the "cool thing" to do in 2008, to support Obama...look where that got all the clowns w/ their ignorant leader??

That being said, Herman Cain is 100x the candidate Obama could have ever been if you're talking about substantive issues, rather than smoke, mirrors, and teleprompters.

The media seems to favor Romney. I dont see many negative stories about him, compared to other candidates. He will raise more money than the rest except for Perry, but the media will destroy Perry.

Just placed max bet at SBR.
