First of all Joe namath was a below average QB...touting that he was the greatest thing since sliced bread. Look at his career stats. Everyone thinks he was great b/c of his super bowl prediction come true. People look at him like a god b/c he blazed mad cheeks and won a SB.
Everyone hates on Rex for making similar predctions. He needs to back up his talk one of these years. They have all the right pieces in place. Sanchez needs to get his act together and take control of the team. His entire career he has relied solely on Mangold to handle the protection calls. After these 2 weeks without him you can see what his absence has done to an already mediocre offense. The Pats aren't going to bring a lot of pressure unless they change up their gameplan this week. They like to sit back in zone defense. Jets need to go back to running the football and regain their identity of a smash mouth football team.
Jets will do alright against a bad defense this week after facing 2 elite defenses. Jets got beat up physically and that trend won't continue. The question this week entails will be how the Pats come out offensively. Are they going to continue to pass on the Jets D or are they going to try to mix in the run to keep the Jets honest and from playing Dime, Nickel and quarter packages.
Jets will stand tall in this one and regain their road swagger. They are 0-2 on the road so far this year, and this has been one of their strengths under Rex. They are back in the role of underdogs and on the verge of pissing away their season. This is a huge game in October on the road and Jets will certainly come to play. +9 or greater is an absolute gift. I can see the Jets winning this one outright. +355 right now. Proceed with some caution as I am a ravenous, sick, sick and twisted Jets fan, but believe me when I say Jets can win this game.

The Jets D played great last week against B'more....so thats not the problem. We lost by 17 and Sanchez was directly responsible for hand delivering with a pretty bow on top 21 points to B'more(2 Sanchez fumbles returned for tds and 1 Sanchez pick returned to the house for a td). Without those 3 Sanchez gifts, the Jets win the game. Our biggest problem I see going into this week against the pats* is that we cant rush the passer and get pressure on Gaydy. This has been our problem all year long, as we have a different front 4 this year. If Gaydy has all day to throw he'll pick you apart. Since we have no pass rush that means were gonna have to blitz the fu*k out of him. We saw what happend last year in our 45-3 beatdown loss at foxboro when we blitz blitz blitz like we did in that game. So were really stuck between a rock and a hard place right now. However, the pats* D is soft and our offensive line issues won't play as huge of a role as it did in the b'more game, you can basically afford to have holes in your o-line against this pats team....against b'more no way no how. I think vegas is right on this week at somewhere around 9 with this Jets/pats* gameComment -
