I just phoned Bud Selig........He is now aware of the situation and is talking to TB management regarding the action of Garza. He may be pulled for a minor league call up.

I capped the game myself and I came out with a total of 10. But it'll probably be around 15 with the inside info factor.

The total will go over 8.5 in the Tampa/KC game tonight. I have a great source that one pitcher is going to lay the ball right into the hitters with no movement at all hoping to get nailed and go over the total. I know the batters can hit it hard and right at players but they will have great pitches to hit . The one pitcher has a large position on the over so it looks very solid. I live in Spain and use a few big Euro Books so no red flags go up in America.

there's a breeze blowing out to left field at 12 MPH
What's even sadder than the actual claim of a fixed game is the seriousness in which some posters have given to the claim.

Royals: Gil Meche is coming off a strong outing against the White Sox, getting the win after holding the high-powered Chicago offense to just one run over 6.1 innings. The victory was Meche's first since June 27. His winning streak could be short lived, however. Meche is just 1-4 against the Rays in his career with an ERA of 5.40. Tampa batters have hit a robust .281 against Meche in nine games. The OVER has cashed in three straight with Meche on the mound.
PROJECTED SCORE: 4
Rays (-120, O/U 8.5): Matt Garza is coming off one of his best performances of the year, pitching 7.2 innings of shutout ball in a win over the Blue Jays. Garza has been much more effective at Tropicana Field than on the road, where he's just 2-4 with an ERA of 5.91 this season. Garza is 0-3 in four career starts against the Royals, although his ERA in those games is a solid 3.42. The OVER has cashed in Garza's last three starts.
PROJECTED SCORE: 6 (OVER - Total Play of the Day)
The OVER is 7-2 in Kansas City's last 9 games as an underdog.
The OVER is 8-1 in the last 9 series openers for Kansas City.

Ponce, shoot me a PM with your size and mailing address and I'd like to send you an SBR shirt. I don't care if you're full of crap or not, but anyone that can start a thread about a Rays, Royals game and get 100 posts before the first pitch is thrown, that's good stuff.

I have a projected run total of 9.82. That's +1.32 over posted total (and stays under my 1.5 run cutoff point). Over looks good to me.
