Anyway it seems you lose alot of good quality cappers that have real money on games due to a couple people that come in and bash them for now reason... I know it should be easy to just ignore them, but when you just lost a grand the last thing you want to here is I told you so from some little pissant that knows nothing..

So my proposal, is to offer customized chatrooms, I worked for a few websites in the past, so I know the programming involved in this is rather elementry. This way you can have private chat, with those that you want to here from... Its my assumption that in these rooms some real capping will occur... It should also attract back some of the more knowledable cappers because they would no longer need to listen to the idiots..

Just my two cents, I really do think it would benefit your site tremendously though.

I mean I would organize them just as aol used to do it back in the day... You keep all the public rooms, I think they are great, it would just be an added icon, where you were given the opportunity to start a "Private" Chat... In the Private chat, the creator has the power to invite whoever they want... Or it private chat and all can enter but the creator has the ability to "Ban" or "Boot" whoever they want... Its really a matter of symantics which you like better.... But I know I would really enjoy it.

I do agree that the constant complaining from a few posters gets a bit annoying... but so does trolling and bumping 6mth old threads. Capper has been around for awhile... I understand why he's a bit frustrated but I also would hope he remembers this happens each year during football season. For some reason, the demographic of PT changes until people naturally move on to another forum or become less tool-ish because they see that doesn't really fly here for long. what you are suggesting will not work. Based on what I have seen from some annoying posters, they will follow you to the chatroom to still bash you and talk shit about your picks. Unless SBR can somehow detect those annoying posters and block them from using chat(I don't know how they can do this), this will not work.

What I don't understand is why are people so easily affected by the bashers ... there is an "ignore" option so if you don't want to see someone's comments to your thread, just put him/her on "ignore" and you won't be bothered again ... I have 2 people on my ignore list and it works great

The easiest way to fix this problem is the +1 -1 system similar to youtube comments

If you got say -5 or more on a post it would be hidden as spam.

I mean most people wouldn't get their posts hidden, but useless trolls who only post negative responses and add nothing to this forum would be.

Settings > Edit Ignore List... add the people you want.

You clicked Settings and looked at the left hand sidebar? You should see Edit Avatar, Edit Signature, Edit Email & Password, Edit Options, Edit Ignore List.

If it's not there, email forum@sbrforum.com and an Admin will take a look at your account.
