    Anyone Remember Live Aid 1985?
Just watching a re-run on DVD, absolutely superb. Queen, Elton John, U2, The Who, Beach Boys, Led Zep. i'll never forget it, sat in and recorded it on a vhs video player that was the size of a small suitcase. It's interesting how, when you watch this 23 years later, class is definetly permanent.

I just watched that. I didn't realise how good Elton John singing Benny & The Jets was.

            Some fabulous music that day.

Phil Collins played in London in the morning, than flew across the ocean and played drums for Zeppelin in Philly later that day.

And though there was some crap one hit wonder bands that played that day, i don't think we'll see anything even close to the quality of musicians that joined together that day again.

The crap was pretty crap ( Nik kershaw, Bananarama, Etc ) but it was more than made up for by the big-guns and the big-guns made that day really special for music, probably never to be seen again.
