I'm liking the -13 1/2 first half handicap on Oregon.

Yup, safer to me too before it rises to 14 before gametime. Although it seems like there will be enough pressure on the cal line though so maybe it'll stay at 13.5.

My biggest bet right now is 1H TT over 23.5. Oregon's first half average is 31, Cal's defense is loose and can't tackle like last year, and yes, there is motivation to pound California. Read about it and you'll see that coaching staff commented how they respect teams that fought it out like Washington last year rather than unethical ploys like faked injuries. Cal's assistant coach admitted to the faking after the fact which was controversial. And Oregon's still mad the lost a game.

I took Oregon here. They are basically an automatic pic for me at home whenever they are playing an unranked team. There are only a few defenses in college football that can even slow them down. Cal will be done by the third quarter and Oregon loves to ad on points at the end.

California is not the same caliber as UCLA. California is the 3d best team in PAC12 after Stanford, Oregon and about the same strength as Arizona St.

I live in Seattle and follow the Pac 12 closely (especially Oregon who I HATE). If this game was being played in Cal I might take the 24 points but since its being played in Eugene, Or and its on NATIONAL TV you can bet Oregon will run up the score...I have no doubt they will cover the spread and the over.

Yes Oregon wants to run up the score on national TV. The question is can they? Will the tenacious Cal defense allow it? It's one thing wanting something and another thing being able to achieve it. Cal can go to any house on the road and be party poopers. That's what they live for.

I took Oregon -6.5 first quarter and went a little bigger on Oregon -13.5 first half. Not really sure why, but I see an eventual blowout by 3tds+ with a possible late backdoor cover, which is why I'm staying away from the +24 spread
