also, open the kiddie table chat to observers obviously. they should be allowed to run, but not hide.

im at 1975, must have been near 2500 a couple weeks ago. no good cards for a while now.
question to john:
does the rating system factor in the cards played or just if win or lose. for example, if i fold a full house to a better hand does the rating no this is a good play?
if we fold every bad hand vs a guy who play 2-7 off and catches a 227 flop. just curious exactly how this works. either way i think its cool.
lastly,
will these ratings have anything to do with anything, other than the novice table?

I can't even get a seat anywhere with all these damn sanctuary tables. 20 minutes and counting so far. Meanwhile I see 28 open seats at sanctuary tables. Why are there more sanctuary tables than regular tables right now? Outside of the $5/$10 there is only 1 regular table and it's full. Get rid of these damn sanctuaries

I tried to get into the sanctuary but it said my rating was too low
OMG, some of these are so funny! "The Aquarium" and "Sea World" are my favs! "Fish and Chips" is a close runner up.

I am at 2,180. I feel as though I should have won a lot more points with a rating that high, damn.

I am pretty sure the rankings are generated with the same RNG the poker software uses to deal cards. I'm at 1404 and I won quite a few thousands points playing poker.

how about a top 250 poker rating tournament?
because, you know, if you wanted to have a 'true' championship, this would be much better than a top 250 donkament list.

I'm about 2,000 points in the black. So I may have won 10,000 and lost 8,000. I cashed out 20,000 points this year from the store. My points history is available to the general public.

'but how much did you lose?' is what i thought was a pretty common poker joke.
i'm kinda trolling right now in that no one even knows how it's calculated.

OK I played for about 20 minutes and won 5 points. Now my rating is up to 1420 from 1404. SBR thinks I did good winning 5 points. Holy cow!

the rankings make no sense. I am at 1400 (which is well below starting or avg) and I consider myself to be a fairly decent player. I also have had about 10 badges or more and am about 50 on the all time list.
the rankings are definitely not accurate imo but who cares i guess. its not like we get paid based on how high or low we are.. i guess i will go enter some newb sitngos and be king

How heavily weighted is it toward recent play? In other words, is it just going to swing wildly back and forth based on recent play?

i assume yes. it also seems pretty focused on ring game play.
my rating went down a couple because someone pushed for 50 points early and i called with AK. he had 10-5. a 10 came.
and my rating went down 2.
*shrug*
but again though, and this is true throughout poker, people are a tad too enamored with their sbr tourney results. i'm not trying to sound like i'm better than anyone, but cash game players are better than tournament players.
what do you think say, phil helmuth's ability level would be versus, i dunno, barry greenstein?

probably an awful example but i'll stand by the 'just because you're in the top 100 sbr tourney standings does not mean you are in the top 100 sbr players' comment.
