City of LA banning new fast food outlets from building. We know what's best you deal

I have been hearing about this for some time now.Is anyone here from the LA area and is that true?Geesh,I'm hearing the Beatles singing in the background the song,Back in the USSR!
How the hell can a few idiots on a city council tell the rest of the people what their behavior should be in not wanting people to buy fast food?At least if there is an over abundance of fast food joints they pay taxes.What about all the ever increasing government agencies that set up too many buildings on the landscape that just suck up taxes.Why doesn't the city of LA declare the explosion in the number of those buildings to be an eyesore?

Oh,but it's ok for them to look the other way about the illegal alien situation where if you get violated by an illegal no one knows who to look for because there is no record of them being in existence here.Do you think that isn't bad for a person's health and well being?Talk about looney tune times!

I live just outside L.A. and I actually think it's a good thing. Sometimes people are so ignorant and so stupid they have to have legislation passed for their own good because they're incapable of making good life-choices. I quote from the article:
'The proposed moratorium follows a report last year which found that about 30 percent of children living in the South Los Angeles, West Adams, Baldwin Hills and Leimert Park areas are obese compared to about 21 percent in the rest of the city.'
These people are irresponsible and the fact their kids are too young to know the difference between crappy processed food served at a take-away and a nourishing home-cooked meal for less money makes the legislation neccesary. If parents are lazy and often uneducated, sometimes they need to be forced into decisions that will ultimately benefit their children.
When developers and investors mentally write off an area for anything other than fast-food franchises, figuring that residents must want them or there wouldn't be so many, it's time someone stood up and says: 'This is wrong.'
Los Angeles city council are inept, corrupt, reverse-racists and inadequate however I do back them on this issue.
