Anyone Here Go Hunting?

Just seen a tv show, two guys in camo were sat in a tree whispering to each other how beautiful this big deer was. They shot the thing with a bow-and-arrow and it ran off but they tracked it down following the blood trail, so it obviously died a painful death. They then had their pictures taken with it whilst telling each other how beautiful it was. I don't get it. If it's beautiful and living, why did they kill it? Don't get me wrong, i'm not a liberal fag, i couldn't care less if they killed it by poking it in the eye with a pencil, i just wondered if anyone could explain to me the contradiction between,: 'Wow how beautiful....let's kill it.'

If it's being killed to eat it I can understand it, no different to eating at McDonalds, just cutting out the middle man. I'm not sure whether they were eating it or not.

I hunted more as a kid than I ever did as an adult.I have a couple acre plot of land in the boonies with a cabin on it and it's absolutely loaded with everything from deer,to bears to moose.I'm a soft touch for animals from stray cats to adopted greyhounds to ducks and deer you name it.I gather tons of apples,expired bread,feed from the mills and salt blocks to feed everything.

When I hunted, meat was cheap and that's when I figured it wasn't worth hunting anymore.Now that meat has gone through the roof and I have spent years feeding all the critters,I'm starting to think that it wouldn't be a bad idea to have a freezer full of high quality deer and moose meat.
