what kinda bullshit is this? its a rule in arkansas youth league football if a youngster is too good

Rivals is the best resource for recruiting and high school sports. Find all of your favorite team's information or browse our advanced player database.

11-year-old Demias Jimerson has emerged as such a dominant running back that the Wilson Intermediate Football League he plays in has reinstated a bylaw called the "Madre Hill rule," which bars him from scoring a touchdown if he has already scored three times and his team has a lead of 14 points or more.

I think the real bs is that this story made the new...and not just the local news, but it made national news. It's official this kid is ruined, which is a damn shame, because he seems like a nice little guy. Hopefully he has parents who are active enough in his life that they'll work damn hard to prevent him from developing "lebron" syndrome.

    The news is so aggravating!

Maybe the other teams can use some HS seniors as linebackers to slow him down and teach him a lesson.

That's youth sports of today for you. Ten run rules in baseball. No keeping score in soccer before a certain age. Limiting touchdowns. Etc.

Pretty good idea. Hopefully it will work out as well as the "no child left behind" act has been working. We need everyone to be more of the same. Our differences are what hurts us. We all should be blond haired blue eyed... you know the rest.

True, this is a common problem, we have been taught to be satisfied easily, become lazy, and not to demand our natural rights as human beings.

And every kid gets a cookie and a trophy after the game. Wrong message to send to kids.

Parents fault. Get that kid on an AAU/travel team, stop making him waste his time in some rec/YMCA league. Or have him take it to the 1yrd let him throw td passes.

EZ guys. There's a key part of the story you may not be aware of

There is only 4 teams from the same school, an intramural type thing. They just play each other so everyone can learn the game. Then when they hit jr high or high school, they can go and play competitively between schools and in conferences.

Agree with High3... The whole thing just a tactic to highlight the story. There's no reason they couldn't just say, hey, after 3 TDs, coaches will have to put another kid at RB. Let him block or be a receiver. They do the same things in all youth sports. After X soccer goals, it's left foot only or you have to score off a cross. In basketball, they can switch up the zone defenses. But really, most kids just play up a year. The real good kids always play up until high school or this story would repeat every week.

This video is a fukin joke, clearly his teams destroy the other 10-11 year old teams they play so they invoke this rule when they have a star talent that is so far beyond the competition no one else would ever touch the ball and have fun otherwise. When hes 12 next year in the 7th grade he can score all he wants

In HS and college, hell even in 7th and 8th grades he will prolly get the ball about like Lattimore does for South Carolina, I doubt hell be upset he was only allowed to score 50 TDs in 6th grade
