So many broken bats in baseball
These ash bats are shtty, they should go back to maple bats. Everytime I watch a baseball game theres like 10 broken bats. Yesterday that guy got hit in the neck with the bat. Today I'm watching the Red Sox game the guy fouls off a pitch and the bat breaks.

I've been reading it's actually the Maple Bats which are being broken like Gulbis in the 3rd set up 5-1 tonight.

It's annoying to watch happen nonetheless.

Maple shatters -- ash splinters. MLB is trying to avoid banning maple in mid-season, but look for them to be banned after the end of the year for next year.

Espeically with Johnny Damon, pretty sure he broke one again tonight, the bats sure were happy when he was on the DL list. Now its open season for wood again!

I can solve the broken bat problem real easy. Just like they limit golfers to 13 or 14 (can't remember which) clubs in their bag for a round, you limit teams to how many they can have in their bat rack to start a game, maybe four or five max, something like that. That would stop the thin-handle manufacturing in an instant, and that would halt a good 75% or more of the broken bats.

Why don't we just give them 2x4's instead to bat with.
