I know this has happened in a few countries already. My question is what is the best way to continue wagering hassle free if they were do to this in the U.S.A.?
What do you do if ISP's start blocking gaming sites?

#3That would be the obvious choice naturally sir, however with all these confiscations going on with players getting caught in a bonus abuse scheme. whats the best way to avoid those types of issues?Comment -

#5Thde isp thing is interesting because for years now the English people who live here like myself have been trying to use a proxy server to listen to BBC sport radio sport but have never found a way of doing it. Obviously their webcast is only intended for a uk audience but lots of computer people have said 'oh, use a proxy' and I got so fed up of using different proxies to no avail I evengot one of these guys to do it himself, still no good. I have NEVER found a way to circumvent the BBC website with a proxy and it seems to me that websites know you're using a proxy and probably even know where you really are. If there are any computer geeks on here that know a way round my problem I will happily pay you for your time. Note: The bbc website is available to internet users 24 hours a day, its just the sporting events you cant listen to.Comment -

Americans could signup with a (dialup) Canadian ISP for a few dollars per month, your only (possible) additional cost would be long distance charges.
That way your IP address will actually be from outside the USA.Comment -

#10The site is www.bbc.co.uk/fivelive but you won't be able to test it until there is a live game of some sort that is being broadcast. You can access it anytime there isnt live sport, its just the sporting events they block. The next blocked event(cricket) starts at 3.00am PST and finishes at 11.00AM pst Monday. If you go to the site above during that time and click on 'listen to live cricket,' thats the access i'm being denied. If you do manage to find a way of doing it I'd be willing to pay for your time.Originally posted by HelmutCan you provide a link to the website and I'll give it a try.
n.b. I just looked, the cricket( England V South Africa ) is on the link '5live sports extra' which is on the left of the page and will be broadcasting on the times stated above. Thanks.Comment -

#12Won't happen without a new law passed by both houses and signed into law. So far, nothing like this is even being talked about. If it was proposed today it would take at least a year to pass. The last law took over 5 years to pass and be signed into law and it was not nearly as complicated as censoring would be.Comment -

#13the link for their site says the cricket game won't be live but you can download the podcast, which i assume will be after the game has already been played.Originally posted by englishmikeThe site is www.bbc.co.uk/fivelive but you won't be able to test it until there is a live game of some sort that is being broadcast. it also says most premier league and championship league football games are blocked out to none UK people.
it does mention they broadcast live on satellite radio , so i guess if you have Sirius Radio or XM radio you could listen to it, plus i think Direct TV or Dish network satellite has radio stations, even alot of cable providers have satellite radio, i don't know if you have checked any friends that have that and seen if that worked.
plus i assume you are accessing away from work, cause some/most workplaces have firewalls to block stuff.Comment -

#14Thanks for your input. The cricket podcast is a discussion of the days events, the reason they block the live feed is because they only have UK rights and the BBC is a pubically funded organization. The irony here is nobody has US radio rights, its frustrating. Also, it's not available on sattelite radio and no, I'm accesing from home.Originally posted by louisvillekidthe link for their site says the cricket game won't be live but you can download the podcast, which i assume will be after the game has already been played.
