florida had one of the best defensive recruiting classes ever two years ago and those guys are all coming into their own

brantley has a year under his belt as starter and looks pretty solid running the offense

it's not rocket science....they're a very good cfb team

the alabama issue is just their QB....if they even get average QB play they're the best team in the country

yeah but florida hasnt done anything to deserve being ranked #12 after starting out unranked. I can see if they thought they were good before the season but so far its been a easy schedule for Florida.

This is crazy they went from being unranked to #12 just b/c they are playing in the big game this weekend.

I've been saying they are my sleeper team all along and they have a very favorable schedule with Alabama at home....... but I'm shocked how all the sudden everyone is on the Gators nuts and they haven't accomplished 1 damn thing so far this season. Favorable schedule? They played Bama at BDS last year, where do you expect they should play Bama this year? Have you seen the schedule? Bama then LSU on the road back to back. The #1 and #2 teams is favorable? Then they play at Auburn the week after that? Are you kidding me? These are 3 past national champs that they play back to back to back. Then they still play a better UGA, then ranked USC and FSU. UF has one of the toughest schedules in CFB. Favorable

Also, UF didn't start the season unranked. Where did you get that from? Them moving up to #12 is more of a product of teams losing, not necessarily, them beating top talent. They will get plenty of chances to prove their lot.

This was the AP poll at the beginning of the season. The real question should be how was ND or FSU ranked so high???

Who would you rank higher than UF right now? I can think of 7 teams currently ranked higher then UF that UF could beat. I also only see 1 maybe 2 teams that have the same talent that UF has.

UF's issues last year were due to coaching not talent. That team was very dysfunctional on offense. This team is totally different from last years team with Weis calling the offense. I don't think they have enough experience just yet to beat Bama and I don't think Brantley is the guy BUT they are very close. I'd stack this current team up against most of the top 10. Their current ranking is just about right...
