Golfer Greg Norman's ex-wife gets $103 million in divorce signing
By Joe Crankshaw | TCPalm.com 4:29 PM EDT, July 13, 2008 STUART - Golfer Greg Norman's ex-wife walked out of Martin County Circuit Court $103 million richer after an agreement signed in June of last year was finally formalized.
Laura Andrassy received $103 million of Norman's assets, plus an agreement the couple's son and daughter will receive all of Norman's golfing trophies and at least $100 million between them when he dies.
Norman, 53, married tennis great Chris Evert last month in the Bahamas, and has moved his golf course design and other companies from Jupiter to West Palm Beach. Evert is a longtime reisdent of Fort Lauderdale and Boca Raton.
Norman was the world's top-ranked golfer for a total of 331 weeks during the prime of his career. Nicknamed the "Great White Shark," Norman is reportedly the 11th richest Australian, with a net worth of about $500 million.

Documents approved Thursday by Circuit Judge Elizabeth Metzger end a lengthy dispute over the division of the couple's property including taxes owed from the sale of their airplane and the resolution of debts and back taxes.
According to the three-page document, Andrassy, 57, will receive a $50 million payment, plus another $30.2 million spread over the next 15 years, plus $17.5 million from the sale of "Tranquility" the couple's Jupiter Island home, $4 million from the sale of a home in Palm Beach, $466,000 from a retirement account, $500,000 in jewelry and the Range Rover she drives.

The Normans purchased the 7.4-acre property in 1991 for $4.9 million. It stretches from the Indian River Lagoon to the oceanfront near the middle of exclusive Jupiter Island, and consists of several structures totaling 16,000 square feet of living space, according to figures from the Martin County Property Appraiser's Office.
If the property sells for $65 million it would be by far the most expensive home sold in Martin County. The most expensive sale on record is $44.5 million, paid by fellow golfer Tiger Woods for his Jupiter Island property in 2006.
Metzger is expected to issue a written order formalizing the agreements reached in her court on Thursday.
The documents released Thursday provided an inadvertent look into the couple's lifestyle.
Andrassy, a former flight attendant, requested and was granted the right to recover a number of items from their 7 Lakes Lodge in Colorado. Among the items are four paintings of dogs, the master bedroom furniture, a grandfather clock, crystal, china and silver, a French antique mirror and all the Christmas decorations.Comment -
