I agree. But I think i'm the only guy on this board that surfs regularly. This is the best time of the year to be a surfer in california due to the offshore winds. Rincon will be firing, but it gets way too crowded.

I haven't surfed that far up north in a long time. There aren't even 70 great white attacks around the world in a year. That is a highly inflated number. There was a great white sighting here in San Diego about a month ago at a well known surf spot. They're definitely around

Graduated a long time ago but i have had this sn for a long time so I just keep it. That attack was nuts...I used to sponge Jalama and that story really hit home. Enjoy Halloween.

It's a crazy beach. Ambulances working overtime with all the back/neck injuries from, you nailed it, the idiots. People always think of the clam Waikiki beaches...but don't get the rolls at Sandy's...the rocks at Hanuama Bay that sneak up on you when get out a little, that nasty swell at Waimea from the steep drop that will literally throw ya up on the beach...and don;t know if you ever had access but up on K-bay by the light house it could get pretty bad certain times of the year. Great place to live with all the variations from each side of the island.

I love Oahu. So many gems to find if you venture out of the typical Waikiki stuff.

Exactly. We lived over in Kapolei - on the way from Waikiki to Paradise Cove area. There were a few great little spots even between there tourists never see. I'm sure you never stay around the visitor side - it's straight through the pineapple fields and on to Haleiwa
