Dont know if its okay to bring Cuban cigars into the states.

If it is okay, I will leave Cubans at the Golden Nugget for anyone here who wants to buy one off me.

You can probably get a few across the boarder under the radar, however not sure what the airlines might have to say about it though.

It's not legal but if you can take the rings off and package them in another brand's box yeah it's doable. Just remember to declare them in custom, I think tobacco you must declare.

oh hell yeah! who's bringing the meth to vegas baby?

Seriously though, save me a cuban. What kind are you thinking of getting? I'm a fan of the Romeo y Julieta Belicoso's and the Montecristo Reserve No. 4's.

USA border agents are bunch of dicks....they searched my car everytime i cross the border. one time the border gaurd threaten to chop my car apart to do searches because i was talking down to him...so i said, "go ahead chop it up, i am also curious to see what Avis rental car looks like in pieces." he realized he was being an idiot and pretend to look around the car for 5 minutes and let us go.

canada agents are cool...they usually asks one question and let you go.

I bought one in Canada not long ago just to smuggle back home for a contraban collectible but I chickened out and smoked it.First one for me and I thought it sucked! The border patrols are funny where if you lie to them about one measely cigar they figure you are up to alot of wrong doing so they really make it rough on you if they find something.98% of the time years ago it would be a breeze crossing back and forth to and from Canada. Not anymore!

On one occassion I brought way too much Canadian beer back and the US guy let it slide.Once on a fishing trip my dad bought a bunch of bedding plants at Safeway and I told him he was making a mistake.Sure enough, the US customs said you could bring them over if you lived withing 30 miles of the border and I live 75.One time I made an awful mistake crossing back from Winnipeg at 3 am and it really raised red flags duringt he slow time of the night at the customs crossing. The guy searched my whole vehicle and found a couple Canadian lottery tickets and bitched at me for that petty BS infraction and he found my fireworks list.I was heading to Grand Forks, North Dakota to buy a load of fireworks. He bitched at me a little for that even though it was out of his jurisdiction of law.

There is a site online from Whistler, British Columbia where they claim they will have no problem sending you by U.P.S?Cuban cigars to the states.

Remember when Jesse Ventura was leaving office as governor of Minnesota when he took a trip to Cuba?Castro gave him a crate of Cuban CIGARS AND WHEN HE GOT OFF THE PRIVATE JET BACK IN mINNEAPOLIS HE HAD ONE IN HIS MOUTH BRAGGING ABOUT IT AND SAYING THERE WAS ALOT MORE WHERE THAT ONE came from. The federal government did squat to him.I liked Jesse's policies 90% of the time except for his commie light rail boondogle that cost the tax payer dearly, visiting Castro and I thought he was a childish wrestler attitude ass most of the time.

Very rarely will your suitcases get searched. Customs has been mega relaxed lately compared to just a few years ago.

Still if you bring Cubans in, you risk arrest.

I hate tobacco, but I know a few guys who have brought a small number of cuban cigars and either:

Simply told the custom agent, hey I have 10 cigars for my own use or simply wrote it on the declaration form. In both cases, they were let in with them. I'm not a lawyer, but I would guess if you declare it, the worst they woudl do to you is toss them (or take and smoke them)

I've brought guinness back from Dublin. I brought 4 cases. 1 case is the law - beyond that gets taxed. I declared them. The agent said are you going to sell these? I said do i look like I'm gonna sell them? He didn't tax me...

You can also try mailing them from some random address. If you ship a few boxes and they confiscate them, its highly unlikely they will drag your ass in to court and try to prove you sent them. Now if you ship a truckload, well that's a different story.

                      Good luck.

                      Sean

as a cigar smoker I agree Pico. Cuba used to be the best Cigars in the world. The Dominican republic now under former cultivators of Cigars in Cuba now make some kick ass cigars. I can name some Dominican and Honduran cigars that are as good as any Cuban cigar today. I like full bodied cigars so this is for the expirienced smoker, 1. Gloria Cubana series R (Full bodied Dominican cigar yum yum) 2. Puros Indio (med-to Full bodied cigar) the coroho of Puros Indio is sick. If I had to grade a Cuban Cigar I would choose Romeo y Julieta, they still make a fabulos smoke. In other words why try to figure out about bringing in something when theres just as good (or better) that u can get legally.

The outer wrap for all the best cigars are grown in Windsor Locks, CT. We ship the Cubans the best wraps in the world and they can't ship them back to the states. Whacked!
