I work in a bar, and personally, I know of nobody with a gambling problem. Never missed a bill due to a hangover from gambling.
However, I do think we get a little sacuey, a little too often. I have overslept and missed the phone/internet/cable/ car payment. I always have the cash, but a ****ing hangover will weaken me to miss the bank, therefore I can't get the check out on time.
Gambling-s--t!! I don't do enough of it. I was off for, like a week, because I got burned out on studying the games. I have fun when its there, but I do other things.
I've paid for a handicapper, because I wanted somebody else do the work for me, and make me money, so I don't have to analyze stats. Bad idea. I learned through several hundred $, throughout the years, that you have to do your own picks, because handicappers are wrong, too.

Why don't you worry real problems like the fact that so many thousands of brave Americans have no arms or legs because of an unnecessary war
or
the hundreds of thousands of both american and iraqi families who lost a brother, sister, husband or wife for no good reason
or
the fact that the Republicans have put the U.S. Constitution at risk by exponentially increasing the power of the Executive Branch
or
that we are one more conservative supreme court justice away from seeing abortion become illegal
or
that Amerian schools are among the lowest ranked among industrialized nations
etc.
or try getting laid, put your own house in order first and stop preaching your so-called values on everybody else.
