Posters like to bet each other: Why not an SBR holding tank?
Seems like people are quick to come out and cry stiff after these little contests that have been taking place. Paying on the other hand seems to be an issue for some. There has been posters that have been paid quickly.

This should be done on Matchbook, it's a no brainer, you don't post up in the XBET.....you don't play. No more stiff posts.

Alternative, perhaps one of the mods could be the bank. A step further, SBR holds it....and charges a small admin. fee.

The future of the industry maybe exchange style betting....person vs. person. It may even be legal for two people to place a wager against each other online.

They've simply got to start making use of the Matchbook X-bet feature, to avoid anyone getting slow or no-paid.

As people have noted, I'm sure the last thing SBR wants is too in any way appear to be booking bets.

It's probably not illegal to host a post-up handicapping contest (plenty of real money fantasy sports contests) but considering the heat being placed on this industry I'd bet that SBR does not want to be holding wagers between members.

            Matchbook is perfect for this.

SBR would not be taking the bets. The question: Is it legal for two individuals to place a wager between themselves.

We don't even need an answer.

Crazyl.....you over see a lot of the personal contests.....make them use the XBET or at least try to steer it in that direction.

The challenges and betting contests are good stuff. There should be more rules and structure. If your going to lay it down and have a mod grade.....then you play by these rules. In the long run everyone would benefit.....and more people would be willing to join in.

It should be legal to challenge posters at SBR but with no money exchanged. We can use fruit, vegetables, spaghetti, canned beans or dry nuts as bets.

Good suggestions JBC, I've mentioned it a few times to them but it seems to be falling on deaf ears. Hopefully posters use discretion in the future in terms of accepting challenges to relative unknowns. Ultimately I want to enable others to have fun, so I don't mind grading wagers for them, but the enjoyability will be lowered without the peace of mind that Matchbook's Xbets would provide.

Why people bet with other posters is beyond belief. Most guys here are broke so you will never getting paid. Why not just net through a book when you want action?? I bet with fellow people when i was in 6th grade.
