There are a number of records that are deemed unbreakable IMO. Although the one that stands out to me the most is most definitely Cy Young's 511 wins.
Ain't nobody gonna come close to that one.

Gretzky's point record.
His goal record is breakable, but 2800+ points equates to 20 140 point seasons... never gonna happen.

You're probably right, but I could see them changing the rules for assigning wins to pitchers that might affect that.
Some single season records that come to mind are:
Complete Games: All-Time mark of 75 set by Will White in 1879, or Jack Chesbro's 'modern' mark of 48 in 1904.
Triples: Owen 'Chief' Wilson's 36 in 1914 looks pretty safe. Something like 6-7 players have broken 20 in my lifetime (which is a pretty long time), with Curtis Granderson's 23 last year the most on that list.
Intentional Walks: Barry Bonds' 120 in 2004. Second most on the list is almost half that many, 68 by Bonds in 2002.
Shutouts: Pete Alexander's 16 in 1916 for the 'modern' record. The lush started 45 games that year, and with today's starters rarely exceeding 32-33, it means a whitewash thrown every other start.

Vandemeer's back to back no-hitters. Someone may tie it but no one will ever throw 3 in a row to break it.
Even though it was only set a few years ago, I don't see anyone breaking Gagne's 84 consecutive saves streak.

Because of a lot of things, these are some NBA records that will never be challenged:
Season scoring average
50.4
Wilt Chamberlain, Phi. 1961-62
Most points single season
4029
Wilt Chamberlain, Phi. 1961-62
Scoring average rookie Season
37.6
Wilt Chamberlain, Phi. 1959-60
Most points rookie season
2707
Wilt Chamberlain, Phi. 1959-60
Most points single game
100
Wilt Chamberlain, Phi., March 2, 1962 versus New York
here's my personal favorite (though it can likely be broken):
Most three-point field-goal attempts, none made, game
11
Antoine Walker, Boston at Philadelphia, December 17, 2001

Hmm. Since there's so much discussion about Favre lately, how about his consecutive starts at QB record? 253.

This is the absolute definition of a "Lock", as pathetic as that word is.....I'm wondering if some of the present day "horses" will have 48 complete games in their careers when all is said and done, not to mention 75 for Christ's sake.....

Too bad Bonds broke the home run records of people who actually hit honest home runs. His sneaky ass is in the books on top of them.

I cant get paid for like 6 years so I would never touch it, but I think he l think he makes it that long only missed one play his while career. Favre is kind of tough for playing with injuries but the way he plays is a joke always fading away on his throws to try to avoid getting hit.

In the NFL anyway ( 1 has been tied often), but college football can score forever in OT. What is the record for most TD's in a college OT?

The time I won 10 straight hands in BJ. If I had only doubled up every bet..
I would of probably been a wimp and never hit the 16 or the 13 or the 12.
