The last time i heard these guys sing anything was an appearance they made on yo gabba gabba watching with my kid. no point in announcing a break up when they might as well have been already. My favorite song btw was orange crush.

Few good songs, but not even close to the best American band of all time.

Dave Matthews has a bigger following, more profitable tours and has more hits. It's niche music, but they're still great. Guns 'N Roses are probably the biggest American band ever.

Automatic for the People came out when I was in college. It was such a big deal back then, haha. I liked Drive, Sweetness Follows, and some of the other previous songs you guys have mentioned but I was more into Pearl Jam back then. The good thing is we still have the music.

                                        They had one good song.

This is probably just a publicity stunt though.

                                            They was OK. A gay man's U2.

Best American band ever?!?! wow. Lot of great American bands dude. But I gotta go with the Dead Kennedys. Jello Biafra was the best front man EVER!!

But for never heard of them bands. Check out The MotherTruckers. Excellent band, great live. Check out Cherry Poppin Daddys album, "Ferociously Stoned" (and oldie but a goodie) anything by The Palladins.
