Can't be doing things like that when chasing for a wild card spot.

If I'm the fking coach your ass is out of the fking game if you give up one walk in the top of the 9th, no questions asked.

furcal booted the double play ball in the 9th that woulda made it 2 outs with nobody on and the score 6-2.
he makes error after error after error. as a cards fan i am disgusted. we just handed the playoffs to the braves.
yes we have 6 left 3 vs cubs, 3 @ houston which you would think we would sweep. but now the bravos have all the energy, momentum, high spirits etc in the world and are not gonna lose more than 2/6 vs the nationals and resting phillies

LAWL how nice. PTI must of jinx them, Wilbon said Cards have a 95 percent chance of making the playoffs. and will finish the season 7-1.

That's what poorly managed teams, and hopeless bullpens do... lose game that they already won.

They have been doing this all year.
This is just one of many blown saves to crappy teams. I quit watching in the 8th when it was 6-2. Came home to see the score say 8-6. Then I didn't believe what I saw so I went to espn.com to verify the meltdown.
So disgusted.

One of the most brutal losses in a long time, magnified by the fact they needed the game badly. Thought I had this locked up and then an unreal collapse.

Everything has been pre-determined by MLB. This last two weeks "collapses" by teams are made to cause drama and keep the sport interesting now that football has started and no one is watching baseball. At the end the teams who are supposed to make the playoffs are going to make it.

I wish that was true. Picking Division winners would be so easy. But Conspiracy Theories dont fit here. Not in top notch Sports.

Please give me a break. It's much easier to create drama in top notch sports. MLB doesn't want everything to be decided 3 weeks before the end of the season. They send a memo to the managers and GM's and told them who is going to make the playoffs and who needs to win and lose to make it interesting so people can fill the empty stadiums and watch it on TV now that everyone is watching football. There were fly balls at the Marlins game the other day and there was no one with a glove at the ballpark to catch them.

Mets vs Cardinals is like trying to watch 2 teams battle for the first pick in the Bullpen Draft. Each team trying to outfail the other.
