I didn't set out to 'wreak havoc' but I do find it offensive that a fellow poster would have such a smug attitude about stiffing a fellow poster. Posters on a message board rely on integrity alone and when that integrity is breached it casts a shadow over the 99.9% of posters that would have settled that wager.

Ok, some clarification. Eagesbets wouldn't have mentioned this had he not seen a thread that was going on last night that I've given the link for. I was minding my own buisness when that conversation just kinda blew up, it was nothng to do with Eages and he didn't initiate any 'whining.' You could argue it was nothing to do with me either and you'd probably be right but I don't like seeing stiffs acting like that's normal and acceptable behaviour. I also saw a comment that neither of them had been here long and shouldn't be having $500 bets. Whilst that is undoubtedly true, it doesn't change the fact that the DID have the wager and Playa DIDN'T pay, thus breaking the most fundamental rule amongst gamblers that are posting on a board where we all know what the rules are.

That's not what I'm doing at all, I'm sorry that I've diverted this thread from it's intentions but the fact is, there's already been a thread on this, and I think everyone already aired their views on Playa. I just don't think it's very smart to expect someone with about 100 posts to realy pay you, and still be so shocked to create 2 topics about it.

I agree 100%, you're right. However, once someone has decided not too pay someone else and made it blatently obvious they never had any intention to I just find it amazing that same person wants to carry on posting like nothing has happened, I find it frustrating.

I agree. Soliciting a contest for the purpose of defrauding another forum member certainly seems like a ban-able offense to me.

Unfortunately, what this is probably going to lead to is an SBR policy prohibiting member-to-member wagering. Maybe not, though, they seem pretty tolerant of these things.

i suppose my main point was, as soon as he decided to play the game he knew he wasn't going to pay, so why have a game for $500 that you can't afford unless you're a douchebag. There was nothing stopping him play for $20 that he could afford. To then come on here and post like everyones a buddy riled me up, i like to think my word would be my bond if I entered into such an agreement(which I wouldnt) and I just find it weird that someone would publically stiff someone on a forum and then expect those same people on that forum not to mention it.

Thanks englishmike for standing up for me while I'm not around. Listen the truth is i was 50/50 on the challenge. Meaning, half of me figured 'this kids tryin to get lucky with no intention of paying' and another half of me said, 'he did propose the challenge maybe he is legit.' I figured I'd accept the challenge, no doubt in my mind id lose. (and all intention to pay if I did, belive what you want) That said, I won and did not get the 500 but atleat I stopped some naive person (if there was anyone out there) that may have lost and actually paid this LOSER 500. So since i got stiffed 500, that least I can do is make sure this punk doesn't try it 5 months down the road to someone else. Sorry, but I'm down with this thread. moving on, just wanted to state my point...
