Watching it again, unedited, so PC incorrect it's hilarious.
How dare Hollywood not make comedies like this anymore.
Richard Pryor had no problem with it, he wrote most of the movie.

Sure, wow out of line by today's standards, but the rawness of the comedy was classic!

Classic movie that I can watch any time it's on. They were really pushing the envelope in terms of racial tensions but Mel Brooks did it so masterfully.

Here's another classic from that same period - a sketch from SNL that at the time was very controversial.

It's a classic movie. It's also one of the most racist movies I can remember. Funny as hell tho.
