Lost my mom 3 years ago and you never forget them. You have regrets as to what you didn't say enough of and such even though you did say and do alot of nice things while they were alive. You get floods of emotions over a loss like that. You can't go a day without hearing or seeing something that reminds you of them where it brings tears to your eyes. You also get angry where you wished they would have been more open on certain matters or angry if they smoked too much.My mom was a good looking athletic woman but as she got older she aged faster than she should have. She never drank or ate unhealthy but smoking was her enjoyment in life.Through it all,I don't blame the tobacco companies at all because my mom smoked on her own free will,it made her life more enjoyable and she would have hated me for nitpicking about it.hehe!

I am very lucky to still have both of my parents. I, do, however miss my father's parents, my favorite Aunt Annie, all of the close friends I've lost and my mother's mother terribly. And well, even though some people think it's not a real loss, I still cry over my dog at least once a week. It's almost 4 months later. I'm buying a house and we're talking about getting a new dog....but I would give it all up to have him back.

Fortunately, both my parents are still alive but they are getting up there.

The only loved ones I've lost are my 5 dogs and 2 kittens.

Lost my Dad 1 1/2 years ago. He was also my best friend. No regrets, but he's sorely missed. Probably why I'm so F'n grumpy all the time. Know where you're coming from Accu.
