New Bill to Direct $40B in Internet Gambling Revenue for Job Training & Foster Care
New legislation introduced yesterday by Rep. Jim McDermott (D-Wash.) would direct over $40 billion in new revenue over the next 10 years into job training for those in the declining sectors of the economy and educational assistance for foster care youth.

We now have another strong reason why it makes sense to regulate Internet gambling. Not only would regulation protect consumers, but it would also capture new revenue that would be used to support many Americans who need a helping hand.

In a sign that the legislation has support from key members of the Democratic Congressional leadership, Reps. George Miller (D-Calif.) and John B. Larson (D-Conn.) are original co-sponsors of the legislation, which is titled the Investing in our Human Resources Act of 2008 (H.R. 6501). Rep. Miller is a member of the Democratic Leadership and chairman of the House Democratic Policy Committee.

This legislation needs YOUR help to pass. Please contact your congressional member and tell him/her to support H.R. 6501. We encourage you to visit www.safeandsecureig.org for more information on the fight to legalize internet gambling.

    Thanks.

Jim McDermott is a typical socialist where he will glad to see the government get into the gambling business where they redistribute wealth from simpletons with ripoff odds games so he can fund social welfare programs. Then the simpletons that lose all their money gambling will soon be on social welfare programs.

With democrats and republicans=republicrats, it's a sorry state of affairs where they want everyone in some form to either work for the government or collect some sort of government entitlement to keep the false Keynesian economy afloat. It's slight of hand, smoke and mirrors, pyramid scheme, plate balancing ,ponzi scheme and money printing economics.

All these politicians want to do is to keep the economy artificially propped up while they are in office and they don't care what happens down the road when they are retired on their yachts in the Caribbean where they won't take the blame for economic chaos.

Gambling is fun and can be profitable but it's not the best thing to base an economy on.When you need gambling as one of the cornerstones of your economy, something is dreadfully wrong where the economy is in desperation mode.

This bill is hardly basing the economy on gambling. $40B, while a lot of money, is a drop in the national budget, especially since spread out over 10 years it's only $4B a year. This is simply a logical revenue raising measure. Gambling is going to continue whether legal or not, so why not tax it and share in the wealth. State and local governments already profit off of land based casinos, why shouldn't the federal government profit off of internet based ones. Especially when regulation would drive out, or at least make it much less profitable, to run a scam book.

Here is my observation just from seeing what goes on in my neighborhood.

I live in a small town that's blue collar Catholic where democrats and unions rule the roost. Most people are either related or know each other through generations of family friendships.etc.It's pretty clannish except for the fact that with socialism came outsiders from the hoods of Chicago and Detroit to collect the generous bennies and go to college. It's funny how people who hate cold weather will move to a frigid climate when there is free government money to be had.hehe! Then you have government type outsiders moving in that work at agencies, hospitals and colleges and such.Even the libertarian-conservative types like me don't get involved or raise a ruckas ''except for beefing about it here.hehe!''because you have relatives that work in the government system and it would make for bad family relations to tell the truth as to what poverty pimps they are. That and you don't want the blue collar union thug maffioso''relatives included'' slashing your tires, torching your cabin and killing your dog.

We have gambling here of every sort from bar pull tabs to Indian casinos. We have a ton of senior citizens here on social-ist security, medicare etc.We also have a ton of younger people on trumped up SSI disability social-ist security. Then with rust belt jobs came company bankruptcies where the government took over the pension plans where it became a glorified welfare program.

When I look around, either most everyone is on a social program or else they work for the government in some make work capacity servicing the clients on a social program.

Not a week goes by and you don't hear of a woman banking manager or some type of accountant either in the private sector or government sector embezzling large sums of money to use for gambling. Then all of the people collecting government entitlement money are spending tons of money on gambling. On the first of the month when government checks come out it's like a stampede to the casinos. Then at the end of the month, the bummy looking underclass on the dole who bought $50 cartons of cigs have too much month at the end of the money so you don't see them at the casinos.

Mind you,the area is an ok area''thanks to the mines that pay taxes through the nose that shouldn't have to because the revenue gets wasted'' and it's not a Fred Sanford Watts area yet so it has to be pretty typical of what goes on all throughout america. We just had a huge news story break where a Minneapolis tv station did a piece on a state owned ethnic heritage theme park where I live where spending and corruption is out of hand where no one goes to it at all.The democrat mafia here really have a bee in their bonnet because they were exposed and outed on this one.Hell,I could give them 1000 stories and I would gladly give them for free.

It really steams my weenie because I'm not a government employee taking care of the tards and I'm not collecting an entitlement check. Then to boot, you have to hear these tards on entitlements they didn't contribute funds into whine as to how bad they have it and the government employees that dole out the money to them are whining that there should be more money to dole out.

All this crap that I mentioned above is just another contributing nail in the coffin as to why the dollar is shrunk beyond comprehension and that candy bar that used to be big not long ago for 30 cents is now small at 65 cents.

By the time the federal reserve hellicopter drops money over my place it will be worth less than the grass fertilizer I put down this morning.
