Is Ocho Cinco officially a scrub now?
So there was a lot of news about Ocho Cinco coming to the Patriots. Well, is this guy even a starter? The first 2 games i don't think i even seen this guy on the field much.

He seems to be the Pats 5th option as a receiver now.

Isn't this guy suppose to be a team's number 1 WR?

Ummm... no. He is doing exactly what they need him to. The Pats offense doesn't get the ball to the best player, it gets it to the guy with the best matchup. So far, there have been MUCH better matchups to exploit (see- 5 combined TDs for the 2 TEs). Ocho will be used, in time. It all depends on matchups and what schemes the D uses.

You'll know Ocho is a scrub when (if) he gets cut or traded. Til then, he's doing fine.

He had 2 catches against Miami and played no part in the Pats offense.

Against the Chargers, he had 1 catch for less than 15 yards.

Is Ocho Cinco even a starter anymore? Yes Welker is the Pats number 1 WR but i would assume Ocho Cinco would be #2. He looks like a scrub now and i don't even see him lined up at WR anymore.

And he had 2 catches for 45 yards today, not 1 for 15

I agree. Other than the 15 yard 3rd down conversion just inside the Chargers 30, where the next play was a TD. And the one that took them from being deep in their own territory to almost midfield, which also was a TD drive.

                            You're right, no significant catches

I honestly forgot he played for the Patriots until they threw him that 1 pass. They literally threw it to him once, and i never saw him on the field outside of that play.

and really that's his best career move.
I think in time they will make him more of a threat, only to free up the t,e's more.

Yeah. Belicheck has him right where he wants him. He's going to make Chad Ochocinco totally irrelevant and ineffective for the entire season, only to POUNCE on the league next year and catch everyone off guard. Guy's a genius.

I drafted Moss with my last pick at my fantasy draft with he would be coming back to the Pats this season in-mind. I'm a genius.
