This is boxing. Protect yourself at all times. That was fukked up what Mayweather did but so was what Ortiz did with that flying headbutt.
Very entertaining though which isn't always the case in boxing these days.
Great card of boxing tonight.

Complete BS. The ref made a huge mistake. Ortiz was gonna lose anyways, but it would have been nice to see it play out fairly.

Mayweather may be a bigger headcase then Mike Tyson. Guy is trying to get into fights with everyone, even after the fight was over. Along with his domestic problems this guy needs to get some help.

It was a 100% DIRTY headbutt, he tried to LAUNCH himself to break Floyd's nose.
That's why Floyd knocked his ass out like that.

Anyone who saw that fight would say that was just spur of the moment getting a riled up..
Ref said to break, penalized him, ref never said to box again..
Protect yourself at all times is just a cowardly saying..
I've lost all respect for Mayweather..
Atleast Ortiz has some class on his interview unlike Mayweather being a punk..
Let's bring the Mayweather vs Pac man..
Watching this fight it confirmed everything..
Pacman in 10

When the ref says fight, you fight. Good move by Mayweather. Wouldn't surprise me if 90% of everyone here would have done the same with millions in incentives on the line.

Brock - this was a great night for boxing. This was like wrestling or UFC. Great spectacle, with knockouts and soap opera drama. Mayweather has been trying to be like the Miami Heat. A hated champion that people will pay to hopefully see him get his ass kicked.
Pacquio fight could be the biggest in the history of sports. It's building up that way. Who the hell would miss that fight? Even if Mayweather is carrying an AARP card.

You have to respect Mayweather. Not his finest moment, but he is a champion and has proved it throughout his career. That's like not having any respect on the court for Jordan and some of his tactics

"protect yourself at all time is cowardly" lol. step in a ring and see how you feel about that comment. I hope he fights him again so he can knock his phuckin head off next time.

If it was an incidental headbutt, I really don't think Floyd would've struck.
You never see a fighter get docked a point on the first headbutt unless there was no doubt it was malicious. Pretty sure if one of us got headbutted intentionally we'd take the first clean swing we could.

It is cowardly "ring rule" so boxing can protect themselves when shit like that happens..
Facts are that the ref never told them to engage again, but the "protect yourself at all times" ring rule applies so it becomes legal for mayweather..
bottom line, is no fan wants to see a boxing match end like that period..
Of course that view is different when you have money on the line..

Boxing is not for the faint of heart. You can die in the ring. You can act heroic if you like but when you enter the ring you know the risks. That headbutt opened up a cut below Mayweather's lip. You could tell after the fight that it was giving him trouble. Imagine if the fight continued and he took hits on that cut??? Now I believe he was going to win the fight anyway but would you want to keep taking punches if you were him?
Imagine if this was basketball or football. Once the ref puts the ball in play, you better be ready. Your not going to get any sympathy by saying that you weren't ready.

The same people complaining about this being a weak cheap shot are probably the same people who complain about the new softness of the NFL. Can't have it both ways. Man's game bitch
