Whispers of collusion at the final table are already making the rounds in poker circles. If you were one of the final nine with all that prize money on the table would you make some kind of deal?

Hell no, I wouldn't even consider it. I can't imagine there's much equity in anyone doing so 9 handed.

Excellent point. With months til the action resumes, there will be deals being cut hand over fist....

Deals have been cut before, why does everyone think a 4 month break makes anything different. If someone wanted to make a deal they could do it if they resumed play today.

Why does everyone have to think everything is rigged all the time ?

4 months gives a lot of time to consider locking in a certain profit.

Plus plenty of sponsorship deals to consider.

No doubt in my mind that everyone will know exactly what they are going home with before the first hand gets dealt.

Absolutely would make a deal. Something guaranteed is always better than nothing. Especially with amounts these guys are playing with. It's a no brainer.

Are there even any real professionals in the mix? I'd need to see the chip stacks and the blinds first but in a 9 handed situation I think your chances are better waiting for someone else to make a bonehead move or try to double/triple up yourself.
