Ok, so i've got an 1142 tee time at the Rutgers golf course and it's my buddies birthday so I wasn't sure if I'd be back in time to post this one. An early release to say the least:
The 79th All star game this evening should be a fun watch. The best of the game going at it, the winner getting home field advantage in the World Series. Unforunately for the NL, they are 0-10-1 in their last 11 all star games, their last win coming back in '96. Ouch! There is a reason, the AL clearly has more talent in their league. Let's be honest, the AL's Skipper (FRANCONA) has alot more to play for then the NL's skipper. Considering the Sox may in fact be world series bound, the rockies have nothing to play for. I can see Francona just wanting to win, whatever it takes. The NL may take the approach of, 'lets get everybody some playing time.'
I always believed pitching wins these things. Based on that alone, the AL has 4 un-hittable closers on their roster. They can each pitch an inning (Nathan, K-rod, Mo, Papplebon). Then you have Cliff Lee, Halladay, Kazmir, Duchscherer (to name a few) to hold down the first couple innings. Enough of the AL, i am just really not digging this NL squad. Aaron Cook?! Dempster?! Lidge?! Lincecum and Volquez are legit, but these other guys, although having great seasons, are not that impressive. With that I am pounding the A.L. tonight -142 Moneyline...
EAGES JJ SPECIAL #5 AMERICAN LEAGUE -142
*** Considering 3 out of the past 5-6 years have been 1 run games, i'll stay away from the run line. ***
GOOD LUCK ALL, and lets cash this
