Why the hell would take the Sox, as a favorite, with Weiland on the mound? Not to mention, Hellickson is a young stud and the Sox have been struggling (that's an understatement) in September.

#7I threw in DET after seeing your "Lock of the Century" Oakland A's thread last night. No way I was gonna miss out on fading the 3rd worst SBR capper.

#9The Boston Red Sox are definitely not the worst team in MLB; not even close.
What I see about the Red Sox is this; they have a monster of a lineup. But as we should all know, great offenses will always go into hibernation at some point. Right now, the lineup is in a funk and they are struggling to plate runs consistently.
Where the Red Sox are thin is at the pitching end. A team with a great corp of pitchers can survive hitting lulls because their pitching keeps them in games. What we see with the sox is that they don't have the pitching to do so.
The Phillies have had hitting slumps several times this year but have not had the huge losing streaks because Halladay, Lee, Hamels and even Worley have pitched well to keep them in games.
I don't know about you, but I'm going to stay away from the Sox in this series until they can find their swing. I can see them losing three in this series looking at the upcoming pitching matchupsComment -

I also bet on Det. but nope. Looks like a bad bad night for them. 3-0 already, 3 run homer to David Dejesus wasnt that terrible of a bitch, it was down and middle away. Just got into it. Look for a very long day from him.Comment -

#12I am in shock now. The Pit pitcher just hit a homer to go up 4-1 on LAD. Looks like that parlay is busted. Looks like if LSU wins i will just break even for the day which is never a bad thing. Should of just been patient and saved the money for anther day but you all know how that goes.
And saying Boston is the worst team, come on. They could easily be playing the best ball in the majors and turn everything back on. Anyone remember how good they were after they started off so terribly.
I think they are still the favorites to win it in the AL.
BOL to everyone.Comment -

#15Because imo Sox are the better team, even with a disadvantage on the hill. Rays didn't play well in Baltimore so I took the home team @ -110. Wouldn't have played it any differetly.Originally posted by VegasInsiderWow, great wager.

#17I cannot stand most east coast AL teams, but Boston is a good team in a slump. Baseball is all about timing anyways. Any team can get hot at the right time and win. Most recent example being the Cards. If you are a BoSox fan you have to hope they hang on and are just getting a slump out of the way before they get hot again.
It would be kinda cool to see TB take the WC though.Comment -
