MLB can be brutal at times. You always get punched in the teeth a few times a season. No one is immune.
Go small again until you get rolling.

The sharp play was Pirates last night. Why was everyone on Cardinals?

There are no right plays. Only winning and losing plays.

I cashed out completley of both my books after the 4th of July. I just dont have what it takes to grind it out daily in MLB. I was starting to take this to seriously, and as a recreational player it was time to stop till Sept.
I will play for fun in the SBR best bets thread, and the new BTP MLB contest. Of course now that Im not playing for any $ I will probably go on a long winning streak in the contests.

jbc,
a few times a season????????, try saying a few times a night... man oh man, have there been some bad beats for a lot of people just this weekend alone.
Cards yesterday
what about SEA up 4-3, 2 outs, bot 9, give up a walk, then a 2 run HR to lose 5-4..
how about cubs -1.5 up 7-0 in the 8th, and dont cover..
how about 2 nights ago, when ANA up 4-2, bot9, KROD in the game, 2 outs, man on 1st, still 4-2, then a double, 4-3, then a 2 run walk off HR, 5-4 final TEX..
there has been already close to 100 bad beats this year in baseball, and it's not even the all star break..
jbc, baseball is sickening and can give you an ulcer. you are NEVER safe jbc in baseball.. no such thing as a safe lead. you need a strong heart if you want to be baseball.

and what about a few hrs prior to that, MILW 5 ARIZ 0, bot 9, and i have MILW +170 for a decent size.. and i am loving it...
ARIZ score 6 in the bot 9 and i lose 6-5. and they scored 6 runs without even getting an out..
baseball leads are no longer safe. back in the 80's, when you led going into the 9th, you knew you won.. it was safe. TODAY, you probably lose..

I had ST Louis on the tail end of a nice 3 team parlay last night. Also had Ana in that 5-4 loss to Texas.
I keep track of all of my extra inning and 9th inning wins/losses along with bad beats and wins.
I keep in mind that for every bad loss etc. by me, someone else had a win.
That being said..........someone else has a load of my $ this season !! It seems I have more rotten losses than in any season I can remember. Around 30% wins----70% losses.

Money management would make 1 cardinal loss just a small factor.
How much was on it JJ?

good luck with that
i feel you man, i took a loss on the brewers when they were 5-0 up bottom of 9th, nowhere near the amount you placed, but still, it hurts when you see shit like that. yesterday too, cubs blowing a 7-0 lead, not good. i lost quite a bit on gasquet today, but i made it all back today with my baseball bets.
we all take loses, jus take it in your stride

smart advice
sometimes, all you need is a day or two away from the scene and you'll see things clearer
