You gonna gauge this on one game against what looks like a bad Broncos team? I reserve judgement. I think the AFC West is wide open though. San Diego has the most talent, but maybe the dumbest coach. Probably comes down to SD and Oakland is Jason Campbell doesn't play like Jason Campbell.

They went 6-0 last year in division and I don't think the Chiefs or the Chargers are better. They need to pick up a few wins out of division. This new head coach is good.

Their chance at a playoff spot comes down to discipline. They played a sloppy game tonight against a weak team and their talent, speed, and a little luck are putting them in a position to win. Their effort tonight would not be sufficient against the majority of teams in the NFL. If they play smarter and get a little help from the Chargers, they could take the division.

On Offense...WR are weak..or hurt... They also did a really dumb move in getting rid of Zach Miller...good solid TE....RB looks solid..McFadden back after turf toe most of last season..Also Bush is looking good..

I understand where you're coming from Pavy. They may hit the playoffs, they may not. I dig Hue and think they do have some bright spots on their team. As many already mentioned, the discipline aspect is crucial for OAK. I think they're mistaking toughness for stupidity (at least last week). The best I can say is they're a team on the brink of...being good. Cheers

Best statement in this thread. Yeah, the Raiders may very well win their division and Janikowski has one heck of a leg on him. Jason Campbell is ok, RB's are awesome but my god if they don't control their penalties...they are going to lose more games because of their own lack of discipline than anything else.

Excellent bullet points and you are right. He wasn't asking for money that wasn't commensurate with his talents and abilities. I watched the Red Zone Sunday and you know they were sure to show the defensive pass interference call against him that lead to a TD for the other team but left out the plays he DID make. Hypocrites. Guy has tremendous talent and I really thought the Raiders valued him as an important piece of their rebuilding puzzle.
