Lets be realistic even though he was a first rounder, the guy isn't gonna last in the NFL, I'd venture to guess he won't even play half as long Favre did. I know he deserves a shot, but at least release Favre out of respect, if not, you can't seriously bench him to this kid. No way.

Why release Favre and have him sign for an opponent? Let them shed some 1st round picks if they want him. If he comes back for the Packers he has to sit on the bench. He had his chance to make up his mind earlier in the year and blew it.

Depends on how things shake out.

Either way I actually think he'll have a good career. Young QB's who get to watch from the bench for a couple years normally do well, and this guy has shown something in limited action so far.

Remains to be seen if he's really as made of glass as he's billed though. Durability could hamper him.

Why does Green Bay have to pay 39 million for Farve to sit on the bench?.....Just let everyone go their seperate ways.

Let the Pack open 1-2 or 1-3 with Rodgers at the helm and we'll see how long BF is holding a clipboard...

The only thing that Brett Favre has accomplished in 15 years of playing professional football is ONE Superbowl. I don't care about the stats. He is not in the same league as Bradshaw, Aikman, Elway or Brady. He needs to make up his mind. This is not kindergarden kids playing. Now I want to play, now I don't want to play mummy.

                        13. I think he will have to sit due to injuries with in the season.

10+, I think he will get injured and miss portions of the season twice.

If Aaron Rodgers plays half as long as Favre, with half the results, I think his career can be deemed a huge success. At least 75% of QBs picked in the 1st round fall far short of even half the longevity of Favre.

Im with Pavy. Rodgers is their starter. The Packers are done with Brett Favre and all his bullsh!t. They are just trying to control where he goes, that is why they said he will be a Packer(2nd string).
