look at today's games so far.
out of 12 games the quarterback that threw for more yards only won 5 and lost 7.
yes i know that teams with the lead will tend to run the ball more which accounts for quite a bit of that.
but my point is that there is much more to being a winning nfl quarterback than throwing for a bunch of yards. colt mccoy and cam newton both out-threw their opponent by over 100 yards and both teams still found a way to lose both straight up AND ats after having a td+ lead.
