Shit fight and I'm glad here in Thailand we don't pay for PPV if you've got the right cable package. The fight went as expected - boring, slow paced, with Klitschko the more skilled of the two. Thompson has a reputation of being tough and I took the over but I got the over 9 1/2 from Matchbook at +147 and won $190 - barely. I could have sworn Thompson was going to quit in the 8th or 9th

Personally I don't like betting on heavyweights because anything can happen. One punch from any heavyweight and a fight is over or a ref can stop it. Peter is probably one of, if not the best in the division but he's still very raw. Although his chin is questionable, there's something to be said for a guy who gets up off the canvas three times and continues to fight. That show's he's not going to quit and he's got balls - Peter's got a big punch and a big heart so he's a good bet.
There's a fight coming up in the Philippines on July 26th, Banal vs. Concepcion, for the vaant WBA super flyweight title. I'll be at the fight.
I'm not sure what the odds are going to be - if I'm guessing correctly I'll assume -700 for Banal (both opponents are largely unknown to bookmakers) but he's got KO power and Concepcion has basically been brought in as an opponentl Banal has been groomed for the better portion of his life for this title shot and he won't let it slip away. If the over/under is 9 1/2 I'd take the under. Banal is as close as the PI is going to get to another Pacquiao and he's the best in the PI right now besides Pacman and perhaps Nonito Donaire.

If David Haye is the future of the heavies, that's truly a sad statement on the division, seeing as he's never fought above the cruiserweight limit.
When is Ike Ibeabuchi getting paroled?

Your posts says it all. He's the future, not the present.

Forget Ibeabuchi - he's a mental case and no way he'll be what he once was as a fighter.
I don't think David Haye is the future of the division. He's got a long way to go and before even being considered a heavyweight prospect he needs to be a credible heavyweight.
My guess is that the next great heavyweight is a good 5 years away and he'll come out of the Olympics. Not sure who just yet but maybe the Olympics will tell us more.
