The packers forced a decision out of Farve, then at the end of the month he came back to them in back channels saying he wasn't sure in april they drafted 2 qb's to make the decision stick for him...now its not sticking and there screwed up a creek without a paddle. Rodgers is more likely to be traded than Farve...if Farve will commit to two years or more coming back.

I can see the case for David Garrard as he had stellar numbers last year. Although, he hasn't really been battle tested. He's had one great season. He could become the next Ben Roethlesberger and fall off completely. I certainly can't comprehend how you think he's more of a team player than Favre. There wasn't a quarterback in the league who spread the ball around more last year and I really haven't seen Garrard run to the end zone and tackle his receivers in celebration after they score. To me Romo and Palmer are almost equivalent to Favre. I'm not sure what defense has to do with Carson Palmer's quarterbacking it anything he gets the ball more often since the Bengals defense is so porous. Favre had more yards, more touchdowns, less interceptions, and a better QB rating than Palmer. Not to mention, Palmer is so immobile, he might as well be 45 years old. Romo is probably closest to Favre in stats from last year. He had more yards and TDs than Favre last year but also had more interceptions. I'm really puzzled by the Mark Bulger assertion. This is a guy who led a team that last year preseason was considered a contender and he led them straight into the cellar. The guy had 11 TDs and 15 picks with a 70.3 QB rating. You also have to factor in Favre's incredible durability, something that no other QB will ever repeat. You don't have to worry about your backup situation for the season nearly as much..

i am not speaking on crazyl's part, but i believe he meant if the defense played better, they would have made the bengals a contender.he would have played for a winner, and would have been put up there with the greats.i cant understand why you say big ben is a fly by night.i think he played well last year considering he almost died in a vehicile accident.people were saying he would miss alot of games, but he proved them wrong.he might have came back to soon, but he proved to everyone he was one tough sob.how would have you have done coming from a wired ****ing jaw,and a broken body.crazyl beat you,so give up.

Yeah Big Ben had a resurgent year last year. What I meant was Garrard could fall off like Ben's 2006 season where he had a less than average performance (18 TDs and 23 INTs with a 75.3 QB rating). Nobody who knows anything about football doesn't put Palmer up there in terms of talented QBs. However, he's also got a pretty damn good target in Chad Johnson. Favre has never in his career had a receiver with 85's talent. The best he's had is Donald Driver. That says a lot about how good Favre really is...

Are you 8 years old topcat? This isn't a contest, pal. Its a constructive conversation between adults about their own opinions. I wasn't aware that you were the one to cast the deciding vote to declare winners in that event anyway. Thanks for your concern but I'll continue to embarrass myself as I almost always do on this forum.

i apologize, just picking.no iam not 8 iam 35,but my body feels like 85.as far as bengals receivers go i like tj,long ass name.the best receiver bret has ever had was robert brooks.i think hes alot better than driver, but i do agree with yo that farve has never had that much talent around him.iam a big farve fan to.if he gets addicted to pain killers afagain he will most likely come back.i apologize.

For one season, I'll put Favre in the top 3 QBs in the NFL in 2008. If you want a QB for more than 2008, then Favre obviously plummets down the list like rock.

Big Ben is close, but hasn't quite shown that he can carry a team as well as avoid the big hit that can limit his durability throughout the season.

Similar with Carson, plus playoff inexperience.

                  Romo? Please.

Garrard is proving to be a winner, but I'd like to see more proof.

It's hard to argue against guys like Eli, Bulger, Rivers, etc. But I'll still take Favre.
