Not to mention I feel sorry for everyone who drafted him in their fantasy football leagues.

Indy goes 10-6 and probably wins that division.

Is this news really breaking, a couple days ago they said 2-3 months. It should of been obvious to everyone that it was the whole season. There was no way in hell they would put him back out there with nothing to play for.

I can't confirm the source but it appears likely he's out for the year
He has a serious neck issue and they feel as though its not worth the risk to put him out there this season. He is the franchise why would they risk it. Could be wrong but I'm sayin but it does appear he likely will not play this year

Hate to say it, cause I respect the hell out of Peyton and like watching him play, but there's a small chance we won't ever see him play in the NFL again. He's already got a ring, broke tons of records, a HOF lock, etc. He also has a post-NFL career waiting for him at any time.....He will make one hell of an announcer or NFL show host one day.
Neck injuries are tricky and not something to fukk around with....You never know if he will heal 100% and if it's worth it to risk a potential life-changing injury for a couple more years of football
Ya never know man

Yeah, when he put his neck under the knife for surgery #3, I figured his season was over. Why is this breaking news?

via NFL.COM Player News:
Manning's doctors say his third neck surgery in 19 months went "very well, without complication" and that his prognosis for recovery is good, the Associated Press reports. The doctors confirmed that Manning needed surgery for a herniated disk and that his rehab program -- and long recovery -- will begin soon.
Impacts: Manning isn't going to play for a while and rehab usually takes at least two months in these cases. So while Manning could easily miss the entire season, the Colts haven't made an IR move yet and it's still possible the uber-competitive Manning could see the field, at least to the point we're not writing him off until that happens. Until then, if your league has a shallow reserve list, you'll want to decide early if you have to take the plunge and drop him. If your have a deep stash of names, we'd probably suggest keeping him there and pay close attention to Manning updates, of which more were needed this week vs. his 13 previous years.

Manning was the greatest "regular season" QB I've ever seen. The Colts have absolutely no chance with out him. This guy was the definition of MVP
With that said, the Colts are in the perfect position. Granted this season is lost, but hopefully they can be bad enough to get the #1 pick this year. That gets them Andrew Luck. This guy is as "cant miss" as you can possibly get.
Manning comes back next year and Luck gets two years or so to learn from one of the best ever.
It's the perfect opportunity to transition from one franchise QB to another.
If I'm a Colts fan I'm rooting for 2-14 this year

It might come to this by week 4 if Collins can't find the fountain of youth.
They already dumped 4 million on Collins for this year, he's gotta fail badly to reload & dump another 4 million.
