Ohio State wouldn't have a +500 record if they played in the SEC.

With oponents like Youngstown State Ohio Troy Purdue Northwestern Illinois Wisconsin no doubt they will have a great year. Put them up against LSU Florida Georgia Tennesse Alabama Kentucky Ole Miss Miss State Arkansas and lets count the wins.

Don't forget the Gamecocks who went two for two against them in this decade.

You idiots dont realize it takes balls the size of Montana for OSU and USC to play an OUT-OF-CONF game of this magnitude that could wreck either's Natl Champ ambitions. Stop focusing on the filler of the out-of-conf sched and pay homage to two great teams who put it on the ****ing line for asshole fans like yourselves who doubt the great Buckeye Nation.

Now tell me what your ****ing gay-ass team is doing out-of-conf to show its willing to throw its season down the drain for a non-conf game. Thats what i ****ing thought. Shut your mouths and bow down to greatness.

Its the principal, pal. OSU and USC putting it on the lne for CFB purists and also taking a HUGE risk of losing an early season game. I respect them.

They had to play a game like that to have any chance at a National. Outside of USC, their schedule is pretty weak. If they didnt have a top 10 team on it, they would have been passed by other teams with harder schedules in the BCS. They could have went 12-0 and been passed by teams with a 11-1 or 10-2 record. It still might happen, even if they beat USC, depending on how Michigan and Wisconsin shape up this year.

OSU/USC seems like a great match-up in name only, as Trojans should win by 20+.

The good thing is that it may guarantee that Ohio State does not go to the BCS game, even if they win the rest of their games. I believe we are looking at a USC vs. SEC Champion matchup this season.

Couldnt agree more, LT. I think Ohio State is walking into a slaughter. When I was doing my list, I put them 4th and had a hard time putting them that high. There very well could be 3 out of the top 5 teams coming from the SEC(Georgia, Florida, and LSU).

I'm going with the Big East champ vs. USC. The Pac-10 and Big East don't have to play a stupid money-grubbing conference championship game. So you SEC, ACC and Big 12 fans -- I don't want to hear about how its not fair that you have that extra game to get to the BCS -- if you don't like it, eliminate the game, and stop being greedy.

I purposely left out the ACC, by the way. They are getting what they deserve for trying to cut off the head of the Big East a few years back. The ACC football is still behind the Big East, and now the basketball conference is behind the Big East as well. Enjoy it ya greedy bastards.

USC will win that game against OSU! Ohio State will once again be on the spot and not deliver!

The ACC enters 2008 without a true national title contender, the only league amongst BCS conferences that can make such a claim. Those who follow the ACC closely will point to Clemson as the odds-on-favorite and a potential Top 5 team, but keep in mind that Tommy Bowden still runs this program. Last year, the Tigers were probably the best team in the conference and had the Atlantic Division Crown in its sights before dropping a home game to BC, 20-17, as eight-point favorites.
Clemson does return 16 starters this year, including QB Cullen Harper and RBs CJ Spiller and James Davis. They have not won an ACC Title since 1990 and to do so this year, they must survive road trips to fellow Atlantic contenders Wake Forest and Florida State. We will learn a lot about the Tigers in the opening week of the season when they meet Alabama in a neutral site affair (Atlanta). A win there and a 5-0 start is almost assured.

CLemson wont finish in the top 10 this year. That O- LINE was AWFUL last year and they've lost 4 starters. I dunno if they can win the ACC at this point.

Tennessee is my sleeper. Top 5 oline in the nation with a running back whose got a chance to be a heisman and a QB named Crompton who can flat out play.

Watch out SEC foes. Cant go wrong pickin an SEC team to be champ anytime really.

They should just put Florida at #1 right now, because that's what there gonna be at the end of the year.

Clemson should not lose a game this year and should be favored in every game.

Two words for everyone.. Chase Daniels. all I have to say. The Tigers have the O and the D to win a title this year. FL does not have the depth it use to have. Ohio has 20 startes comeing back. So what. Just wait and see.
